CHALLENGE: Terry Construction approached LNA Solutions to explore the use of a BeamClamp Custom Assembly to install a new walkway with reinforcement for the Qualls Prather Bridge.
SOLUTION: We created a design utilizing the Type BY BeamClamp due to its high friction and tensile loading capacities. This design was approved and selected because the BeamClamps do not require welding, which would be very dangerous hanging over the river – and create abatement issues due to the old lead paint on the existing steel.
