How It Works

How It Works
BeamClamp® Type BC1 and BD1 flange clamps are designed to hook over upstanding flanges of angles or channels. Type BC1 and BD1 can be used together for channel to channel connections or in conjunction with other LNA Solutions clamps to create angle/channel connections to other types of steel. The BC1 clamp features a recessed top to grip a bolt head and the BD1 clamp has a flat top to allow a nut and washer to be tightened on to it. It's recommended to use grade 8.8 high tensile threaded items, however both clamps are suitable for use with bolts, threaded rod or other threaded items.
Features & Benefits
- Hot dip galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the recess in Type BC clamp used for?
Type BC1 recessed top captivates a hexagon head of a bolt or nut to stop it from spinning and allows tightening by using one wrench.
Where can I use Type BC or BD structural clamps?
Type BC1 and BD1 flange clamps are used for securing angles and channels to other steel sections in tensile or positional applications.
Can Type BC/BD be used with other BeamClamp products?
Yes. Type BC1 and BD1 can be combined with other BeamClamp products to secure angles and channels. Typically the BC1 would be used with a BB, BK or BW (flat tops) clamp and Type BD1 would be used with a BA or BT (recessed) clamp.
What approvals are available for the BC/BD?
Type BC1/BD1 structural beam clamps are approved for use in tensile or positional applications by LLoyds Register Type Approval.
